Sometimes you can find cloth remnants at a very good price. If one shop doesn’t have exactly what you need for all your rooms another one will.

Thicker curtains are usually darker in color & don’t really look that great. Coupled with the higher price tag I suggest you stay away from those if you want to buy new.

Specialty stores may have all the selection but other stores will probably have better prices. Look for department store sales for example for great deals.

Most people have standard size windows which makes it easy to buy ready made curtains. They are usually cheaper & best of all you can see a sample before you buy.

If you are buying curtains from a store always make sure to speak with a manager because they can almost always give you a good discount especially if you are buying more than one.
