What are some of the reasons that one might want to take a look at the Japanese language? For one anime is great cultural item that has become particularly big in many parts of the world including the United States.

Japan is also liked by many people because it has a strong traditional culture & a very strong business culture which has promoted Japan to being the second largest economy in the world.

For whatever your reason may be for learning a language like Japanese you must remember a few things that learning a foreign language successfully means.

Japanese is more difficult to learn than a European language because Japanese uses kanji which are characters far different from letters that make up our alphabet.

European languages especially the romance languages are a lot easier for English speakers to learn because they share many grammatical similarities & the vocabulary is often similar due to Latin influences. So it very easy to pick up vocabulary in these languages because the words are so similar to the English words already.

This means that learning Japanese is little bit more tricky but I am not saying that it impossible.

What this truly means is that you must have a strong desire to learn that Japanese language if you are going to be successful in becoming proficient in it.

If you really want to get to that high level in Japanese you have to make sure that these reasons are foremost in your heart.

Whether you want to have a better glimpse of the Japanese culture & traditions or whether you want to have a better understanding of your favorite anime series make sure that the desire is strong in your heart for learning Japanese.
